Senior Software Engineer

Working daily with React and Node.js.

Created Context API store providers to manage global state and remove prop drilling within the React Application.

Utilized and built modern react functional components with hooks such as useEffect, useState, useMemo and useCallback.

Lead a project to build dynamic tables within the applications for users to better find their data. I led the meetings and built out all tickets to be completed as well as. worked on building a majority of the table logic. This saved the company from losing $2,000,000 worth of customers subscriptions by quickly providing a solution.

Built multiple permissions for different customers utilizing Optimizely.

Created a Micro Service API for Quote functionality to work in the web application. Integrated the web application to communicate with the new Micro Service API.

Met the project goals and sprint deadlines in an agile environment, working with 3 different remote teams across the world ultimately deploying to the customer successfully.

Utilized AWS to host the applications and API’s. Built environments in AWS to host those applications.

Used SpecFlow for integration testing across different integrated pieces of software.

Worked on the Xamarin mobile application in helping to release the mobile version of Vixxo Link in April 2020.

My name is Christopher Anthony Kalla. Ever since I could surf the web and purchased my first smartphone, I have been interested in how software and applications work. My love for music got me into to using programs for audio recording such as Pro Tools, Logic and Reason. It was through these programs that my interest in wanting to understand how they worked sparked my passion and curiosity to become a Software Engineer.
